Amy had to say...

All the books on my bookshelf comes from a smoke & pet free home and are either good to very good condition unless otherwise noted. Most of my books posted have none to very minimal wear on the spine of the books. There are no ex-library books on the shelf. Please feel free to PM me about the conditions of any book(s) you are interested in.

Most of the books that I order from PBS will be going to my permanent library collection. I also frequently purchase new books at book/yard/etc sales etc. every month so any books that I don't want wind up on my bookshelf for others to read/swap.

About me:

I am an avid reader. I love curling up with a book and emersing myself in a new world filled with exciting characters and situations. One of my earliest memories are going to the library when I was 6 years old, opening up my very own juvenile card and bringing home a stack of books to read every week.

My favorite genres are historical fiction, science fiction and fantasy, contemporary literature, Jane Austen adaptations and YA. I favor books with a strong female main character, who is either fighting opression in 18th century England, evil wizards, time wraps, glass ceilings, William Elliot's sneaky ideas, or high school/college cliques with a good dose of romance sprinkled in as well.

I also LOVE books about merchant marines/sailors/navy/etc (and the women who love them). If you have any to offer on your boofshelf, please PM me!

Some of my favorite authors include Sharon Shinn, Anne McCaffery, Stephenie Meyer, Philippa Gregory, Rebecca Wells, Isabel Allende, Fannie Flagg, Lisa See, Juliet Marillier etc.

I also enjoy spending quality time with my husband, watching too much reality television, shopping = retail therapy, traveling (places I've been: Montreal, Taipei, Curaçao, Honolulu, etc.) and going on road trips, learning how to cook and bake well without stressing myself out , eating delicious food that is NOT prepared by myself, singing karaoke at home and dancing like nobody's watching.

Unpostable Books - will include free with any book request

These are all unpostable books that I didn't want to toss but are still readable to who ever wants them. I tried to be very detailed in my descriptions on the condition.

The Yellow Wallpaper and Other Writings by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Good condition but has some writing and underlining inside the book. Paperback.

The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood. (fiction) Overall it's in very good condition, the spine isn't worn/creased/etc at all but there is a small 2 inch tear and fold, held up by tape (from behind) on the right corner of the cover. Isn't even noticable unless you look hard. Trade packback size.

The Scandalous Summer of Sissy LeBlanc by Loraine Despres. (chick lit). It's in very good condition despite it being a library copy. There are discreet stickers (4 in total) and 1 stamp marking the book. I purchased it from the library thinking it was a new copy because I didn't even see the library stickers until I got home. The spine isn't worn/creased at all. Trade size paperback.

La Prisonniere (Twenty Yeats in a Desert Gaol) by Malika Oufkir (non-fiction). The spine is worn and creased but the book itself is still in good condition. Paperback.

Thanks for looking!
